Significance in Silence

Silence is a funny thing 

that isn't funny at all.

For it can be deafening,

dark, and lonely.

However to some comforting 

like a mother's touch.

Quiet is part of a writer's muse.

For in the most silent of moments

creativity is born.

Devil in you

You had the devil 

burning that fire in 

your belly,

giving you your motivation

I had your love to motivate me 

but didn't realize 

that it was killing me.

Perhaps love is blind

even when your significant 

other is being controlled

by someone with horns on their head

and flames in their eyes.

3 AM

Even at 3 AM when my room is dark and all I hear is my breathing in my chest

The thoughts inside my scalp surround you and engulf in the idea of us again

What a hopeless dream that repeats until I drive myself up a wall

A wall that perhaps I won't come down from

If only it means escaping from you
